Science is a team effort, and the best ideas often come from people with different backgrounds, experiences, and ways of thinking. As someone whose scientific journey has crossed disciplines and continents, I know firsthand how valuable it is to be welcomed into a new scientific community and given the opportunity to grow.

My goal is to create a lab where trainees feel supported, challenged, and excited about their science. We value curiosity, rigor, kindness, and intellectual independence. We ask ambitious questions, think critically about our work, and learn from one another. We strive to foster an environment where people feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and growing as scientists.

We welcome trainees from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. Creating opportunities for those who may not have had traditional pathways into research is important to me, not only because it strengthens science, but also because many of us are here today thanks to someone who took a chance on us, offered guidance, or opened a door along the way.
